The last two years have been especially busy for Nate GoodmanIn 2005, Nate was Director of Photography on The Fix, (Adam Kane, dir., starring Robert Patrick and David Paymer), winner of the Best Drama Award at the 2006 Los Angeles Short Film Festival.  Nate was honored for the film's cinematography when The Fix was selected for the 2006 International Cinematographers Guild Showcase for Excellence in Cinematography.   Then, after operating the pilot and shooting one of the principal units for the first episodes of the hit series Heroes (NBC), Nate officially was made a Director of Photography for the show and officially shot six of the climactic episodes of Volume One (the '06/'07 season).   He continued on  Volume Two (the  '07/'08 season) shooting all the odd  numbered episodes including the season premier and finale.  Nate starts shooting Volume Three in May '08.

    Nate began his twenty year career behind the camera as a clapper loader for Jost Vacano on John Frankenheimer’s film of 52 Pickup.  He had the opportunity to learn his craft as an Assistant Cameraman under such directors and cinematographers as Paul Verhoeven and Jim Glennon (Robocop), Bill Forsythe and Mick Coulter (Breaking In),  Pat O’Conner and Jerzy Zielinski (Stars and Bars), Dennis Hopper (The Hot Spot, Chasers), Cameron Crowe (Singles), and Michael Hoffman (Soapdish), all with Director of Photography Ueli Steiger.

    As a Camera Operator and 2nd Unit Director of Photography, Nate contributed to more than 20 feature films and television series.  Among these credits are Homefries, (Dean Parisot, dir., Jerzy Zieleinski, DP),  One Fine Day (Michael Hoffman, dir., Oliver Stapelton, DP) and The 2nd Civil War  (Joe Dante, dir., Mac Alberg, DP)  for which Nate was also 2nd unit Director of Photography.  He operated Godzilla (Roland Emmerich, dir., Ueli Steiger, DP) and the extensive 2nd Unit on Lemony Snickett’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (Brad Silberling., dir., Emmanuel Lubezki, DP, Amy Vincent 2nd Unit DP).   And in television, Nate was the Camera Operator on many network television series including Wind on Water (NBC) and the new Fantasy Island (ABC),  The Guardian (CBS),  Line of Fire (ABC) and Grey's Anatomy (ABC).
